The Canyons, UT

The Canyons Snow Safety team have had their work cut out for them with all the recent snow. Here we see Paul Gaia and crew en route to avalanche control work on Murdock Peak before you even got out of bed this morning. The Canyons got 19 inches of new snow in 24 hours last week.

Telluride, CO

Last week brought 21 inches of snow to Telluride, supplying the holiday gift everyone wants: great powder skiing!

As of December 26, Telluride’s December snowfall record has been broken for the second consecutive season. Fourteen inches in the last 24 hours has put the month’s total at 100 inches, breaking last year’s record of 93 inches. This brings Telluride’s total snowfall to 143 inches (nearly 12 feet) for the season.
