Crested Butte, CO
Santa came to Crested Butte again last night with 13 inches of fresh powder for all the skiers and riders, bringing the season’s total to 126 inches of natural snowfall. In the past 7 days, over 50 inches have covered the ski area making Crested Butte one of the snowfall leaders in Colorado! All this snow has 97% of terrain open, 481 acres of groomers, and 14 / 16 lifts running. This December is truly shaping up to be on par with last year’s all-time record season.
Telluride, CO
Last week brought 21 inches of snow to Telluride, supplying the holiday gift everyone wants: great powder skiing!
As of December 26, Telluride’s December snowfall record has been broken for the second consecutive season. Fourteen inches in the last 24 hours has put the month’s total at 100 inches, breaking last year’s record of 93 inches. This brings Telluride’s total snowfall to 143 inches (nearly 12 feet) for the season.
Silverton Mountain, CO
The best December on record for Silverton Mountain. Another 40 inches of new snow fell in 24 hours after Christmas (estimated based on precipitation in Town), bringing the mid mountain base to 99 inches deep. Silverton Mountain has received more than 196 inches of new snow this season.
Wolf Creek, CO
After two weeks of heavy snowfall, the clouds disappeared and the abundant snow was met with beautiful blue skies and ample sunshine. The latest storm dropped just under three feet in three days and 152 inches of snow has fallen in just 15 days. Wolf Creek's base depth has broken the coveted hundred inch mark, a feat that some ski resorts won't accomplish all year. Trail conditions are phenomenal and we're expecting great weather through the New Year!
